Install Profile on Mac
Configuration profiles make it easy to set up your email, calendar, contacts, and reminders on your Mac. Follow these steps to install your Cirrux profile.
Important
After downloading the profile, macOS requires you to manually install it through System Settings. The profile won't install automatically for security reasons.
Installation Steps
Download the profile
Go to your Cirrux mailbox settings and click "Download configuration profile".
The file will be saved to your Downloads folder as cirrux-profile.mobileconfig.
Open System Settings
Open System Settings on your Mac. You can do this by:
- Clicking the Apple menu → System Settings
- Using Spotlight: press ⌘ + Space and type "System Settings"
Can't find System Settings?
On older macOS versions (Monterey and earlier), look for "System Preferences" instead.
Find the downloaded profile
In System Settings, look for "Privacy & Security" in the sidebar, then scroll down to find the "Profiles" section.
You should see your downloaded Cirrux profile listed there. Click on it to view the details.
Don't see "Profiles"?
The Profiles section only appears after you've downloaded a configuration profile. If you don't see it, try downloading the profile again from your Cirrux settings.
Install the profile
Click on the Cirrux profile, then click "Install". You may be asked to enter your Mac password to confirm the installation.
Review the profile details—it will set up your email, calendar, contacts, and reminders automatically.
You're all set!
Once installed, open Mail, Calendar, or Contacts and your Cirrux account will be ready to use.
Your email will start syncing automatically. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of your mailbox.
Need to remove the profile?
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Profiles, select the Cirrux profile, and click the minus (-) button or "Remove" to uninstall it. This will remove the associated accounts from Mail, Calendar, and Contacts.
